Spring Opening

• Pump out and remove cover (mesh or solid)
• Clean cover, fold, and store
• Reinstall drain plugs, return fittings, skimmer baskets
• Prime pump, check filter, test equipment
• Initial shock and balance to open-for-the-season chemistry
• Clean the pool (skim, brush, vacuum the winter debris)

Fall Closing / Winterization

• Deep clean: skim, brush, vacuum
• Shock and balance for the closed season
• Lower water level below returns and skimmer
• Drain pump, filter, heater — blow out lines
• Install freeze plugs on returns
• Fit and secure your winter cover
• Final walk-through with equipment notes for spring
